East Kilbride FC Team of the Decade: Who gets your vote at right-back?

Our search to find the East Kilbride FC team of the decade moves to the right-back position today.

Fans have been voting in their thousands so far for the goalkeeper and left-back roles.

Now it's time to pick the second member of the back four.

We've narrowed it down to this shortlist of four, so get voting and help us decide who will make the dream Kilby 11.

The candidates, in alphabetical order, are:

Fabio Capuano

Fabio Capuano (Daily Record)

Brought to the club by Martin Lauchlan, Capuano had a superb first season at the club winning the Lowland League title, embarking on the 30-game winning run that surpassed Ajax's world record and helping Kilby get to the SPFL play-off final, which they lost on penalties to Cowdenbeath.

After that memorable season, Capuano kept his place initially under new boss Billy Stark but a serious health scare curtailed his involvement. The former Clyde player was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism that kept him sidelines for months.

He eventually got back to fitness to help EK lift the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup that season after they lost out on the league title to Spartans on the final day.

Involved in the early stages of Brian Kerr/Stuart Malcolm's reign at K-Park, Capuano left the club at the start of this season and has recently been reunited with Lauchlan at Junior outfit Petershill.

Kris Gebbie

Signed by Billy Ogilvie, Gebbie was utilised at right-back and left-back, but featured prominently in the right-back role during Ogilvie's reign.

Started at right-back in the win over Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale in the Scottish Cup and helped the team keep a clean sheet, whilst also featuring in the win against Stenhousemuir in the previous round. However, he missed the clash with Celtic.

Gebbie was still part of the squad when Martin Lauchlan took over from Ogilvie in March 2016, but he was placed on the transfer list that summer and joined Cambuslang Rangers. He still plays in the Juniors with Rutherglen Glencairn.

Aaron Murdoch

Brought into the fledgling squad in 2013/14 by Iain King, Murdoch had a superb season at the club, winning the South Challenge Cup with Kilby and making a goal-saving block in the final win over Dalbeattie. He was later crowned EK's player of the Year.

Also played under Billy Ogilvie the following season, but he fell out of favour and joined BSC Glasgow in 2015.

Scott Stevenson

From playing Celtic in the Scottish Cup, surpassing Ajax’s world record for consecutive wins and winning the league in 2017, to play-off pain in Cowdenbeath, a final day collapse in the 2018 league campaign and the Cove Rangers play-off exit - it has been a proverbial rollercoaster for the full-back.

Having made over 100 appearances for the club, local lad Scott has made himself a firm favourite with the Kilby fans and lifted his second Lowland League trophy with the club last season.

One of his first games for the club was facing Celtic and he played his part in the win over Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale that got them there.

Chances have been limited this season, but he's still a regular member of the squad having first joined the club in 2016.

Both Stevenson and Capuano have held the role for Kilby for much of the last few seasons.
