East Kilbride FC's SPFL play-off dates revealed

East Kilbride will be at home for the first leg of the SPFL play-off semi-finals later this month.

Stuart Malcolm's men were crowned Lowland League champions last midweek following a 2-1 victory over Spartans and that secured their shot at promotion to League Two.

To get there, they must now face the winners of the Highland League, set to be Cove Rangers, over two legs and if they can successfully come through that they will the bottom side in League Two in the final.

Despite the Lowland League initially stating EK would be away for the first leg, they are, in fact, at home and will host the Highland League champions at K-Park on Saturday, April 27, kick-off 3pm.

They will then head to the Highlands on Saturday, May 4 for the second leg. Kick-off will also be 3pm.

Cove could be confirmed as champions on Wednesday night when they face Keith in the Highland League.

Berwick Rangers and Albion Rovers are currently battling it out to avoiding finishing bottom in League Two and whoever props up the table will play the Lowland/Highland play-off winners over two legs, with a place in the SPFL up for grabs.

The first leg will see the Lowland/Highland champions at home on Saturday, May 11 before the return match at either Berwick or Albion Rovers on Saturday, May 18. Both games will be 3pm kick-offs.

This is Kilby's second venture into the SPFL play-offs after they beat Buckie Thistle in the 2016/17 semi-finals before losing to Cowdenbeath on penalties in the final.
