East Kilbride, Caledonian Braves and Cumbernauld Colts Lowland League opening day fixture revealed

East Kilbride, Caledonian Braves and Cumbernauld Colts have found out their fate in the first round of Lowland League fixtures.

Stevie Aitken's men will kick-off the campaign on October 10 with a trip to the University of Stirling as the title favourites look to build momentum.

Cumbernauld Colts will also look for a positive start as they travel to Bo'ness United.

Caledonian Braves miss out on the opening weekend in the 17-team division but will travel to Bonnyrigg Rose on Tuesday, October 13.

A new-look Kilby have added the likes of Chris Erskine, Kyle Hutton and Paul Paton as they look to take the trophy from Barry Ferguson's Kelty side.

The Lanarkshire side will look to lay down a marker at New Central Park in the first clash between the sides on November 7 against the champions in the key fixture before the return fixture at K-Park next year in the 32-game league season.

EK and The Braves will face off in the first Lanarkshire derby of the new season on November 24.
