East Finchley crash: Woman, 63, dies after being hit by car in north London

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian died after being hit by a car in north London.

Officers were called to East Finchley, at the junction of High Road and Lincoln Road, just after 6.45pm on Saturday.

Paramedics also attended but the pedestrian, a 63-year-old female, was pronounced dead at the scene just after 7.15pm.

Her next of kin have been informed.

The driver stopped at the scene. There have been no arrests.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have captured it on their dashcams, to get in touch.

“The area would have been busy at the time,” the Met said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 020 8991 9555.
