East Fife manager Darren Young has signed a two-year extension at Bayview.
The 42-year-old, who grew up in Cambuslang, joined the Fifers in 2017 and the League One club have announced he has signed a new deal to keep him with the Methill club until the summer of 2023.
Young who played for Albion Rovers and managed the club before leaving Cliftonhill for Bayview, guided East Fife to a sixth place finish this season, having finished fifth last term.
The club have revealed he has already started planning for next season and should be in line to announce his first new summer signings in the coming days.
A club statement read: "East Fife FC are delighted to confirm that manager Darren Young has extended his contract until the summer of 2023.
"We are sure that this will continue the stability within the first team set up. Darren already has begun his planning for next season and we hope to be able to announce our first new signings of the summer within the next few days."
Young, a former Aberdeen defender, told the East Fife website: “'I am delighted to have agreed a two-year extension to my contract and I am already excited about what next season will bring for us.
“I feel that we have had progress year on year since I came to the club and this season, we were within two goals of securing a top five finish and ultimately finished five points off second spot in the league.
“Every year League One has been more difficult than the year before and the forthcoming season will be just the same with some ambitious & experienced clubs joining us.
"We will however, be well prepared for the challenges ahead with the pre-season training starting in just four very short weeks.”
