East Bristol Brewery Trail returns with biggest line-up so far

East Bristol Brewery Trail makes a welcome return this month with the biggest line-up so far. It’s the second trail of the year - the first one over the May bank holiday weekend was hailed a huge success after a pandemic-enforced two-year gap.

Two new breweries, Little Martha and Newtown Park, were added to the trail earlier in the year. And now another new brewery tap has been included for the trail on August 27/28 to take the total to eight - the highest number so far.

The latest addition is the new Wiper & True brewery and taproom. Located at City Business Park near Old Market, it opened last month.

The Brewery Trail is centred around the start of the Bristol and Bath Railway Path, making it perfect for people to join in by bike or on foot. With easy access to Lawrence Hill railway station and only ten minutes from Temple Meads, it also attracts beer fans from all over the region.

With just a short walk between each brewery, it’s a chance to meet the brewers, explore the area and sample some great local beers. As well as beer, some of the breweries will be offering food, including Wiper & True, which has its permanent Eatchu pop-up outside selling Japanese gyoza dumplings.

This year, the taprooms on the East Bristol Brewery Trail are:

Arbor Ales, 181 Easton Road, BS5 0HQ

Dawkins Ales, Unit 2, Lawnwood Road, BS5 0EF

Wiper & True, Units 11-15 City Business Park, St Jude’s, BS5 0SP

Left Handed Giant, Unit 3 Wadehurst Industrial Park, St Philips Road, BS2 0JE

Newtown Park, Unit 9 Wadehurst Industrial Park, St Philips Road, BS2 0JE
