East Belfast man hoping to reunite 'Newtownabbey pet' with her owner this International Dog Day

An East Belfast man needs help to reunite this ' Newtownabbey pooch' with its owner this International Dog Day.

Aaron Curragh said he found the female doggie at the Glen Road bus stop in Braniel Estate today.

The kind soul brought the wee Jack Russell type dog to the vet and said they traced the chip to Newtownabbey.

Now he needs your help to find her owner.

He told Belfast Live: "I found the dog right at the Glen Road bus stop in the Braniel Estate.

"She is grand and she has or had an owner, is healthy with strong good teeth. She is about seven or eight-years-old."

Aaron said the vet "scanned her" and found "she was from Newtownabbey" even though he found the little pet miles away in East Belfast.

But he is very keen to "get the wee dog home", adding: "The vet has said either it got out of the garden up here as a rescue or it has been dumped up in East Belfast".

Can you help Aaron reunite this lost pet with her people? If so DM us on Facebook .
