East Belfast GAA club suspends all activity after positive Covid-19 test

East Belfast GAA has suspended all activity after one of its members tested positive for Covid-19.

The newly-formed club issued a statement on Saturday confirming one person had tested positive for the virus.

In a statement, East Belfast GAA said: "East Belfast GAA has been informed by one of our members that they have tested positive for Covid-19.

"In accordance with GAA and NHS guidelines on dealing with a positive case, the club has suspended all further activity until public health contact tracers carry out full close contact assessment and testing."

They added that it would not be making any further comment at this time.

The club was founded back in May and is the first GAA club established in East Belfast in almost 50 years.
