East Belfast car theft investigators charge teen boy

Police investigating the theft of two cars in East Belfast have charged a teenage boy.

The cars are alleged to have been stolen from the Cregagh Park East area of the city on Friday, January 10.

A 17-year-old is due before Belfast youth Court on Monday.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police investigating the theft of two cars from the Cregagh Park East area of East Belfast on Friday 10th January have charged a 17 year old male with a number of offences including aggravated vehicle taking.

"He's expected to appear at Belfast Youth Court on Monday 13 January.

"As is usual procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS."
