An East Ayrshire primary school with no heating or hot water is to partially close today.
Crosshouse Primary's P5-7 classes along with the early years centre cannot open to children, the local authority confirmed.
East Ayrshire Council said that children already at the school will be cared for until parents are able to collect them.
A statement from East Ayrshire Council reads: "Due to an issue with the heating system the Crosshouse campus does not have any hot water or heating today and cannot open to children.
"Please do not bring children to the ECC [Early Childhood Centre] or to P5-7 today.
"Any children who have already arrived at school will be cared for by staff until parents are able to collect them.
" P1-4 should attend as normal, the main building has a separate heating system and is unaffected."
