East Ayrshire Council order residents not to put recycling trolleys out in high winds

East Ayrshire Council has issued an update on recycling collections this evening.

The local authority has spoken out as weather across the region continues to worsen.

The council has told residents not to put their recycling trolleys out tonight.

Instead, the public should put their bins out BEFORE 6.30am.

Their statement reads: "Kerbside collections – Wednesday, February 12.

"Please do not put your trolley out for collection this evening.

"We are expecting high winds to continue up to midnight.

"Put your trolley out by 6.30am and we will endeavour to collect as normal.

"Any problems, please contact waste@east-ayrshire.gov.uk or call (01563) 554033."
