April 01--Registration packets are being sent to the homes of all returning East Aurora School District 131 students.
Packets will be mailed to the homes of high school, middle school, East Aurora Extension, outplaced, and current East Aurora STEM students. Beginning Monday, registration packets will be sent home with all elementary school and Fred Rodgers Magnet Academy students. All packets are due back to schools by April 18.
Completed registration packets can be mailed back to the school using the envelope included in the packet, or dropped off at the school the student is currently attending. Fifth-grade students should turn their packets in at their current elementary school and eighth-grade students at their current middle school.
If the registration packet is not returned, students will not be placed on a class list or receive a class schedule, district officials said.
Schools will notify parents once the student's registration packet has been received. If the packet is incomplete, the family will be contacted by school staff.
Residents who have moved or will be moving should go to the East Aurora Welcome Center at 1480 Reckinger Road with three items proving a new address, district officials said. The Welcome Center is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
There will be no August registration event at the high school this year. There is no online registration.
New student registrations will be processed at the Welcome Center beginning in June.
