Easiest Tracks in Gran Turismo 7

Getting into the world of racing sims is hard. These games have a steep learning curve, which turns away a lot of beginners. The best way for these players to enjoy sim racers like Gran Turismo 7 is by choosing an easy track and learning the game from there.

Fortunately, Gran Turismo 7 is a great beginner-friendly sim racer. It’s easily accessible on the PS4/PS5 consoles. Plus, the game features a lot of tracks of varying difficulty levels. From fictional tracks exclusive to the game to popular circuits like Daytona, Spa, Le Mans, and Monza, Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of tracks to start with.

However, if you are a beginner, then I’d recommend avoiding the technical and difficult tracks in the game and instead start out with the easier circuits the game offers. Here are 8 of the easiest tracks in Gran Turismo 7 that will make you fall in love with the game.

Circuit De Spa-Francorchamps

Spa is the last track on this list, so it’s obviously not the easiest. But the reason I wanted to add Spa here, or any other real track, is because of popularity. If you are even a little bit into motorsports or sim racing, you probably have a couple of tracks you like. Maybe you love watching your favorite series race on that circuit, the atmosphere of the track, or the history behind it.

The point is, the best beginner track in Gran Turismo or any other sim racer is the track that you like watching races on. When you finally jump into Gran Turismo and start a lap on your favorite track, you will get immediately hooked. After all, you get to finally drive on the track you like watching races on.

I added Spa here because it’s my personal favorite, but you can swap out this for any other real-life track. You can go with iconic tracks like Silverstone, Le Mans, Monza, or even Imola. This advice is only for people who are fans of motorsports in general and want to get into sim racing themselves.

Daytona International Speedway

Daytona International Speedway

Daytona is one of the best tracks for GT racing, and it’s not too technical either. You have the options to choose from the Oval or the Road circuit. The oval is significantly easier, but it gets boring, since there aren’t any corners, and most of the time, you are just going flat out.

The road circuit offers a good balance of technical and easy sectors. The other great thing is that it still has parts of the original oval in the layout, which gives you the best of both worlds. However, the track is long, which can be daunting for a new player.

WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca

Weathertech is another solid track for beginners, mainly because of the balanced layout. It has a variety of corners, which is great for new players. It features all sorts of corners, from fast corners, hairpin turns, a chicane, to sharp turns.

Overall, Weathertech is easy but not to the point that it’s boring. It offers a good mix of turns and challenges for new players and is a good first track for any beginner.

Kyoto Driving Park (Miyabi)

Not only is Kyoto Driving Park easy for beginners, but it’s also one of the most visually stunning tracks to race on. You are surrounded by huge green plains with lush green mountains surrounding them. It’s such a soothing experience to watch the scenery as you race on this circuit.

On the other hand, the track itself is quite simple. It does not feature twisty or technical turns that will have you sliding. You start with a small hairpin followed by a tight chicane, then a straight into a long sweeping right hander, and then ends with a simple turn and connects to the finish line.

It’s a fairly short circuit, so you can get a lot of laps in quickly, which is great for beginners. If you want a difficulty spike, you can go with the Yamagiwa route.

Plus, Kyoto Park is Gran Turismo’s exclusive fictional circuit, so you are also experiencing what the game has to offer, along with learning a sim racing game.

Special Stage Route X

Special Stage Route X is a 30 Km long oval. Being an oval, it is quite easy compared to other tracks. I’d recommend this track for those trying out a sim setup for the first time. The track is quite easy, so it gives you room to try and tweak the setup as you go.

It’s also one of the go-to tracks to test out the acceleration and top speed of my cars. Much like Kyoto Park, this is also a Gran Turismo exclusive fictional circuit. The banked turns are thrill-inducing, and I can never get bored with them. There isn’t a lot you learn from it except learning to brake and getting clean exits out to the straights. But, just the pure thrill of going at blazing fast speed never gets old.

Goodwood Motor Circuit

Most motorsport fans might recognize the name of this track. After all, it’s one of the most historic and iconic circuits to ever exist. The Goodwood Speed Festival is an important part of the Motorsport world, with fans traveling from around the world to see exotic cars.

For beginners, Goodwood is a great track to start on. Not only does it have history behind it, but it’s also a very short and easy track to learn. It’s around 2.3 miles long with 7 turns. The turns themselves aren’t hard, and you can quickly see improvements in your lap times after a couple of runs.

Red Bull Ring (Austria)

The Austrian track also the home of Redbull racing, is also in the hall of fame of tracks. Almost all the popular categories race there, including F1, MotoGP, and IndyCar. Despite that, it’s still considered one of the easiest tracks in the world, and Gran Turismo 7 is no exception.

It’s one of those tracks that are easy to learn but hard to master. You will learn the track in a couple of laps, but getting good lap times is not easy. It’s because the track is so easy to learn that it’s hard to find a lap time. You will feel like you are having a strong lap only to find out you were two-tenths slower.

Austria offers a fun challenge to new drivers. It’s not about learning the track that’s difficult; it’s going fast around it.

High Speed Ring

Let’s end this list off with another Gran Turismo exclusive circuit—the High Speed Ring. It’s one of Gran Turismo’s most iconic and oldest tracks. So, if you are looking for the best beginner Gran Turismo track, then this is it.

It’s around the same length as Kyoto Park Miyabi (~2.3 miles), with six turns completing the circuit. The High Speed ring features fast-flowing corners that are an absolute thrill to drive on, making it a great choice for beginners. This track gets you hooked on Gran Turismo quickly. With the fast-paced nature of the circuit, you will forget how many laps you have done.

Overall, High Speed Ring is quite a fun, easy, and thrilling track to drive on. I’d highly recommend this to someone just trying out Gran Turismo 7.
