A quick and easy way to perfect poached eggs has gone viral online - and people can’t believe it works.
For many people eggs are the ideal breakfast item but cooking them perfectly can actually be harder than we think.
A TikTok user called @thebournemouthmum has shared a video online of what she called the “easiest poached egg EVER” - and it has already received more than 40,000 views.
In the video, she adds boiled water to a mug, pours in a few drops of vinegar, cracks an egg into the mix and pops the whole lot into the microwave for one minute.
The result? What looks to be the perfect poached egg.

The egg is shown served alongside two pieces of toast, before she cuts the egg to show the gooey-but still-runny yolk inside.
Fans of the video have been quick to comment on the recipe, with many claiming they’ll be taking the advice.
Among the comments, one person wrote: “What??? I love you for this! Hate poaching eggs”.
Another said: “Midnight snacks! I am on it! Yummy!” and a third wrote: “I am genuinely gonna try that”.
