An earthquake of magnitude 5.81 struck Mindanao, the Philippines, on Monday, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) said.
The Philippine seismology agency Phivolcs said no damage or aftershocks were expected from the offshore tremor.
The quake was at a depth of 10 kilometres, according to the GFZ report.
