Nearly 10 million people had voted by midday Tuesday – and local reports had Democrats looking strong in Florida, North Carolina, Nevada, Arizona and Texas. Election officials report the number of returned ballots by party ID – though votes aren’t counted till election day.

In August he accused Clinton’s “people” of trying to pin her email woes on him, but on Tuesday former secretary of state Colin Powell endorsed her for president. “I think she is fully qualified,” Powell said.
