The number of early voting ballots for the House of Representatives election is down from that of the 2017 previous election, the Internal Affairs and Communications Ministry said Sunday.
The ministry announced the preliminary tally in single-seat constituencies from Oct. 20 to Oct. 30. During the 11-day period, 20,584,857 people, or 19.49% of the registered voters, had cast their ballots.
The figure is lower than that of the record-setting 2017 lower house election by 795,120 ballots.
This is the sixth lower house election permitting early voting.
