Early morning Castlemilk attack leaves man in hospital

A man is hospital after he was allegedly assaulted in an early morning attack.

Police raced to the scene in the Castlemilk area of Glasgow on Sunday morning, November 10.

The assault unfolded in Raithburn Avenue around 4.50am and the victim was taken to Hairmyres Hospital.

Two men, aged 26 and 30, have been arrested and charged and are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "Police were called around 4.50am on Sunday, November 10 to reports of a man injured in Raithburn Avenue, Catlemilk.

"Two men aged 26 and 30 have been arrested and charged in connection with the assault.

"A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal and the men are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today."
