Sean Dyche is not in contention to become the next Rangers manager.
The former Burnley and Everton manager will not be considered for the vacant Ibrox post after Russell Martin was sacked.
Dyche had quickly emerged as an early frontrunner for the post with bookmakers.
The experienced English manager also previously worked with Kevin Thelwell at Everton, prompting links to the Ibrox gig.
However, as reported by The Rangers Review, Dyche will not be considered as a candidate to become the new Rangers manager.
Steven Gerrard is expected to be under consideration for a possible return to Ibrox with Derek McInnes, Stephen Robinson and Danny Rohl also touted for the position.
But Dyche will not feature on any possible candidate shortlist as Thelwell and Patrick Stewart draw up a list of names for the role.
Earlier reports had suggested Thelwell had met with Dyche over the post but it's understood that is not the case with Dyche not in line to be considered for the job.

Former Rangers chairman Dave King last night backed Gerrard for a return to Rangers as his preferred candidate.
In an exclusive interview with STV, King said: “I would love to see Steven back at the club. Steven is a winner and will get more out of the squad than we have witnessed so far.
“We have been watching a team that doesn’t seem to have a plan for what to do when in possession and when out of possession, and Steven would quickly sort that out.
“I believe he has unfinished business after being forced out by Douglas Park when he was on track to win 56.
“I think he can get more out of the present squad reasonably quickly and get back to winning ways.”
