Chelsea fans have been left stunned by Maurizio Sarri’s decision to leave out Eden Hazard, N’Golo Kante and Callum Hudson-Odoi from the starting line up at Cardiff City this afternoon.
The Blues are trying to chase down a top four place with eight games to go and need to leave the Cardiff City Stadium with all three points this afternoon.
However, with Kante and Hazard having played in both the international matches for France and Belgium respectively this week, Sarri has decided to rest them ahead of Wednesday night’s match against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Meanwhile, despite impressing for England on Monday night, Hudson-Odoi has to wait for his first Premier League start.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek did also not make the first XI, being another name on the bench with the 23-year-old’s recovery from back issues continuing.
Sarri’s decision in some ways might be logical, however for Chelsea fans it has really not gone down well at all and they are preparing for the worst in Wales today.
