Early 2019 projections after schedule release paint Bengals as one of NFL’s worst

The Cincinnati Bengals don’t have a great chance to reach the playoffs in 2019, and if the odds play out, they’ll end as one of the NFL’s worst teams.

Per Mike Clay’s probability sheet, the Bengals’ best chance to win a game is in Week 16 away against Miami. They’re even projected to lose their Week 13 home game against the New York Jets.

All-in-all, if the Bengals win games that they’re projected to win, they’ll be just 2-14 in 2019. That would be a major disappointment for Zac Taylor, the team’s rookie head coach.

Teams like New Orleans and Philadelphia are projected to go 15-1. The Rams would have the league’s best record, ending 16-0. But, one thing we can all agree on is that the projections are just that…. projections.

This team should surprise the oddsmakers.

That said, Zac Taylor’s ability to lead the team along with the health of A.J. Green will ultimately determine how Cincinnati does this season.
