Eamonn 'not happy' as Gok Wan hugs him after he refuses handshake over coronavirus fears

Eamonn Holmes was not best pleased today after refusing to shake hands with Gok Wan - only for the fashion expert and chef to hug him instead.

Currently, ITV staff have been told not to shake hands so as to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

But when presenter Eamonn, 60, tried to avoid Gok's handshake, he received a hug instead.

At the start of the programme, Ruth Langsford remarked that it was nice to see him back in the kitchen.

"It's nice to be back," Gok replied excitedly. "I've been roaming around this studio saying hello to everyone because I haven't been in for ages!"

"You're doing a new series," Ruth pointed out.

"It's been a crazy time, but looking forward to today," he said.

Ruth responded: "Well, it's nice to have you back."

But Eamonn revealed: "He's very friendly, is our Gok. I said to him, 'We're not doing handshakes' and he just grabbed me and that was it.

"So whatever you've got, I've got now!"

"Lots of love," Gok called out. "That's what we've got - lot's of love!"

"Thank you," Eamonn replied.
