Eamonn Holmes tells Ruth to 'stop being a pig' as he slams her bad eating habits

Eamonn Holmes criticised his wife Ruth Langsford for her eating habits as he branded her a "pig" on This Morning today.

The presenters had been speaking about Aussie biscuit Tim Tams, which Prime Minister Boris Johnson was seen promoting recently.

Eamonn and Ruth were very excited when they were sent over a special pack of the sweet snacks, which are likened to Penguins.

Tim Tams have created a special "British" version based on scones with strawberry cream.

But Eamonn was not impressed when Ruth hogged the biscuits and ate one using a special technique that a viewer had suggested.

Ruth bit off the corners, dipped it in her tea and slurped the liquid that had soaked into the biscuit.

"That's most undignified," Eamonn said, before motioning at her to give him a biscuit.

He was delighted when he took a bite, but was not impressed when Ruth dipped the biscuit back into her tea and sucked at it.

"Stop that," he told her. "Stop being such a pig! If I was doing that you would be disgusted!"

But Ruth wasn't phased as she told him: "It's called a Tim Tam Slam!"
