But fans were most shocked by Declan and Eamonn's family resemblance - insisting the pair look so much alike.

Rushing to the comments, one wrote: "Lovely pic ... Soon you will be able to take your grandchild to sporting events."

A third shared: "Those are the moments we all live for as parents. Hope you're keeping well Eamon. Take care."

Declan - who is set to become a father for the first time soon - is one of three siblings from Eamonn's first marriage to Gabrielle Holmes.

He has a sister Rebecca, 30, and Niall, 28, while the trio also have a younger half-brother, Jack, 19, from Eammon's marriage to Ruth Langsford.

Eamonn has been battling with his health as of late, having been diagnosed with three slipped discs.

"Chronic pain, no matter what causes it – it doesn’t discriminate between whether you're young or old, man or woman or whatever.

"I couldn't sleep at night, I just couldn't sleep. Lying there at night, trying to get to sleep while Ruth was sound asleep beside me.

"Honestly it was awful. I'm six weeks down the road with that and I've got the injections which have taken away the acute pain. I can sleep and that's a blessing, absolutely great," he said.

However, the good news for Eamonn is that he's expected to make a full recovery.

He explained: "The doctor said to me, 'When you get this, your nerve endings die off, but they grow at a centimetre a month,' and I thought well that's good.

"And he said, 'No but it's got to go from your hip to your toes.' So that's going to be about a year."

Fans have been busy sending well wishes to Eamonn as he recovers.
