Eamonn Holmes shows support from fellow This Morning host after being dropped from Friday show

Eamonn Holmes has received support from his fellow This Morning co-host Rochelle Humes following ITV's decision to cut him and wife Ruth Langsford from the Friday edition of the show.

The Belfast born presenter hasn't addressed the issue since news broke over the weekend but on Tuesday night he shared a photo which he said was sent to him by fellow This Morning presenter Rochelle Humes.

Sharing the picture on Instagram which shows Rochelle giving Eamonn a hug on the This Morning sofa, the 60-year-old wrote: "Just got sent this by my lovely friend Rochelle. That's when a picture is worth a thousand words."

Underneath the post fellow celebrity pals and fans were quick show their support for Eamonn, Lizzie Cundy wrote: "Loved by me too !! ... Lots !!!"

It was revealed on Saturday by The Mirror that Eamonn and Ruth would be dropped from hosting duties on the Friday show which would be instead taken over by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.

Eamonn and Ruth would continue to present the show over the six week period in the summer months when regular  Philip Schofield nd Holly Willoughby take a break.

Fans were quick to remark that they would no longer tune in to the popular daytime show without Eamonn and Ruth.

One fan said: "I won’t be watching on Fridays from now on, Eamonn and Ruth you are the best presenters on This Morning, real and not self obsessed."

Another added: "Shocking !! Bad move by This morning."
