Eamonn Holmes shares health update as he admits he's 'desperate for results' amid physio

Eamonn Holmes said he is "desperate for results" despite his "slow progress" after recovering from a serious fall.

The 63-year-old TV presenter was previously pictured using physio apparatus to help strengthen his upper body after months of battling with chronic pain.

The former This Morning presenter has struggled with severe back pain in recent years and underwent surgery at the end of September 2022.

But during his recovery he suffered a set back when he fell down a spiral staircase and required further surgery after injuring his shoulder.

Eamonn, who is married to Loose Women star Ruth Langsford, said on Instagram today: "Hard to explain what this apparatus does … but it's all about reawakening my Neuropathic connections.

"Slow progress … but great dedication to me here . I'm so desperate for results."

He was bombarded with messages of hope and goodwill to boost his morale in the comments.

Carol Vorderman wrote: "Champ" while one fan said: "Keep going we are right behind you! The fastest way to get somewhere is slowly - you’re nailing it and we are in awe."

Another added: "Come on Eamon x we’re all rooting for you x"

One fan wrote: "I really admire you Eamonn. Dealing with chronic health issues is a real battle but with determination and perseverance I’m sure you’ll win. Keep going, every step is a step nearer to improvement"

Speaking on GMB in January after the fall, he told viewers he had bee "set back". He added: "My leg gave way and I fell down 18 stairs."

Despite his mobility struggles he has put a brave face on his recovery and shared his road to physical health with his followers.

Earlier this week he shared a session at rehab centre Neurokinex with a picture showing him with his eyes closed.

The TV veteran penned: "Training with my eyes closed . It's all about regaining my balance. Hard work made harder balancing on one leg."

He previously told fans that he had received steroid injections in his spine as surgeons had initially advised him against the spinal surgery after he had three slipped discs.

"So I had a leg that didn’t work, and a shoulder that didn’t work — and lots of other things in between."

Rather than dwell on his predicament, he joked: "I feel that there are only so many boxsets I can watch or recommend to you!"

Wife and fellow TV presenter Ruth Langsford commented on the social media post and said: "We can rebuild him! Hard work will pay off x."

TV fave Carol Vorderman added: "Oh gosh Eamonn. Sending hugest love and strength."

Reality star Vicky Pattison said: "Sending you so much love you wonderful man."

Singer Alexandra Burke added: "Sending you love and strength my darling. Thinking of you! Xx."

In February fans were fearful of the presenter's health after he was photographed being pushed using a wheelchair as he arrived at Wembley Stadium.

Eamonn was helped out by his son Declan Holmes to watch his team Manchester United take on Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final.
