Eamonn Holmes reveals 'mysterious' cause of chronic pain which 'nobody knows how to stop'

Eamonn Holmes has discussed the cause of the chronic pain which has left him in agony and requiring physio multiple times a day.

The This Morning star opened up about his battle after being kept awake at night from the pain he was suffering.

He was admitted to hospital last week after he was left in the worse pain he's 'ever experienced'.

The 61-year-old presenter said his pain began when he "mysteriously" dislocated his pelvis, which has then subsequently caused his back problems.

Eamonn has now had an MRI scan, and while he hasn't shared the results, he has discussed his ordeal further.

"I mysteriously dislocated my pelvis and I don't know how — it's not as erotic as it sounds," he told The Irish Independent.

"My back is now out of alignment as a result."

He has been having physiotherapy and ice cold showers to attempt to ease his pain but admitted it still "hurts like hell".

"Nobody knows what it's like unless they live with someone who has it," he added.

Eamonn and Ruth have been presenting This Morning this week (ITV)

"I'm in huge pain and nobody knows how to stop it.

"This hurts like hell and I need to find a way to overcome it. It has lasted a month and it feels like I can't remember what life was like without the pain."

Following hi strip to the hospital, Eamonn told fans he has suffered from “variations” of chronic pain “for years”.

But he vowed not to let it get in the way of his work commitments and appeared on This Morning alongside co-host and wife Ruth Langsford while Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield take an Easter break.
