Eamonn Holmes predicts Piers Morgan will quit breakfast TV soon

Eamonn Holmes has shared his fears that his ITV co-star Piers Morgan could quit breakfast TV at any moment.

Piers has been at the helm of Good Morning Britain for almost five years and has certainly shaken up morning TV.

The controversial anchor has had a slew of Ofcom complaints during his tenure, thanks to his daily rants on a wide variety of subjects.

But now Eamonn has revealed he thinks Piers, 55, might walk away from the high profile position, reports Mirror Online.

Eamonn said that Piers has been the “saviour of breakfast TV” and that GMB had been “going down the drain of vanilla blandness” until Piers joined.

Eamonn said: "He came there and shook it up.

"He was the right man in the right place at the right time.

"And so far, so good.

“But the thing about Piers, and probably why a lot of people watch him, is you don’t know how long it’ll last, you don’t know how long he will last.

"You don’t know when he’ll have had enough or whatever.”

Earlier this year, the outspoken host confirmed he had signed a contract running into 2021.

Eamonn, 60, also praised BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker.

He told journalist Rodney Edwards on the Human Nature podcast: “I’m somewhere between Dan and Piers.”
