Eamonn Holmes is in hospital after suffering from chronic pain and he prayed for followers to 'wish him well'.
The 61-year-old This Morning presenter has been living in chronic pain for some time now and has told his followers over the last week of his distress.
Eamonn posted up a picture of himself on Twitter wearing a surgical mask as he sat awaiting to be seen by doctors in hospital.
He wrote: 'At Hospital... pain like I've never experienced in my life. Need to find out what's causing this. Wish me well.'
His hospital visit follows a series of distressing messages where the presenter told them he couldn't sleep because of the severe pain he was experiencing.
He wrote: "Don't know about you but I got 90 mins tonight before the pain woke me up."
In another message around 2.30am he wrote: 'In that Twilight Zone between Night time and Morning. Anyone else find these hours the worst.... particularly if you suffer chronic pain?'
Eamonn also appeared to be the worse for wear after he posted a picture of himself on the physiotherapy table and told fans this week: "Starting the day by tackling the pain from the night before... On the Physio table."
Followers including ITV's Lorraine and Emily Atak sent him messages to wish him well.
Eamonn was appreciative as he told them: "I just want to say Twitter can rightly be criticised .... yet here through sharing the common but not talked about experience of #ChronicPain we r giving each other support. Let's keep talking Tweeters.'
