Eamonn Holmes offers health update over crippling battle with chronic pain

Eamonn Holmes has issued an update with fans after suffering from chronic pain.

The This Morning star said he was left using a crutch last month as he lived with excruciating pain which appeared to occur after he suffered 'three slipped discs'.

Eamonn, 61, first opened up about his health battle back in March before ending up in hospital to find out what is causing his discomfort after the condition was leaving him in the worse pain he's 'ever experienced'.

But after emotionally admitting things "aren't good" at the end of last month, things appear to be improving for the TV star.

In a new update, Eamonn tweeted: "Another session of Physio rehab – feels like I’m making progress – slowly but surely.

"Chronic pain now gone because of Steroid injections – thank God. Got to strengthen my back now.

"Small steps, literally but feeling positive. Thanks for sharing your stories."

Eamonn, who is married to fellow presenter Ruth Langsford, was flooded with hundreds of messages.

"Keep going Eamonn your get there, you have the majority of the UK rooting for you," tweeted one.

Another replied: "Really glad to hear you're on the mend, Eamonn. Fantastic stuff!"

"Sending lots of love, glad you’re starting to see progress and a light at the end of the tunnel," a third added.

Eamonn said during an appearance on Loose Women last month that apparently the slipped discs were 'his fault'.

"My slipped discs are apparently my fault. I don't know how they're my fault, I don't even know how they happened," he said.

"But I would say this, I think it's the fault of the people who designed chairs, who designed cars and there's so many things... beds too!"
