Eamonn Holmes mocks 'scaremongering' Brexit hoarder for stockpiling GHERKINS

Eamonn Holmes mocked a "scaremongering" Brexit hoarder for stockpiling GHERKINS.

Jen McEnhill has bought six-months worth of supplies, including food, washing detergent and toiletries, in case of a No Deal Brexit .

However, the project manager insists she is just "organised" and is planning for the future.

When asked if she was worried about shortages, she said: "That was my initial concern. It's also about prices going up. Being prepared and saving up for the longer term."

This Morning presenter Eamonn asked why she was building up stocks of gherkins as he blasted her for creating "Project Fear".

He said: "There’s no chance on god’s earth we're having a gherkin shortage."

"Europe have goods to sell. They’re not going to keep all there cars and gherkins. I don’t even know where greens come from. There isn’t going to be a shortage."
