Eamonn Holmes made a bit of an error on Sunday after he mistakenly thought Daisy Lowe's social media post was a tribute to a dead parent.
Instead, the model was simply wishing her dad a happy Father's Day as she couldn't travel to visit him.
The presenter, 61, sent a message to the 32-year-old on Instagram after she had publicly praised her dad - musician Gavin Rossdale, 55, of the band Bush.
Eamonn commented that he "had no idea" she had lost her father.
But it seems that luckily his gaffe didn't bother the model and she explained that her musician dad wasn't dead, but was "just in LA" and she couldn't visit him due to the global pandemic.
In the original heartfelt message alongside a throwback pic, Daisy started: "HAPPY FATHERS DAY DAD - god I miss you…."
But it appears that Eamonn didn't read on as the model continued: "(Global pandemics & living in different continents really suck ) It’s been way too long since I gave you a cuddle. Wishing you the most gorgeous day with my angel brothers."
Another hint that her father was very much still alive came at the end of her message as she signed off: "You inspire me every day… I love you more than words could ever express - I can’t wait til we get to have more adventures together again."
But after appearing to jump the gun, Eamonn innocently wrote to her: "I had no idea u had lost your Dad Daisy. He must have been so young x"
Clearing up the situation, Daisy sweetly replied: "@eamonnholmes he’s just in la where I can’t visit!!! Thank you love xxx"
And shortly after the pair's interaction, Daisy's dad took to her comments section to send love back his daughter's way.
Gavin replied: "awwwww my sweet love - you are really so kind and so special ———- i’m so proud of you —-we love you so much and need you to get here to us. we have adventures waiting. and we need your cakes."
Daisy was 14 when she discovered Gavin was her dad. She originally thought Bronner Handwerger was her father but a paternity test revealed her godfather Gavin was in fact her parent.
Gavin has three other sons, Kingston, Apollo and Zuma, with singer Gwen Stefani.
He was married to the singer from 2002 until 2016.
