After the time came and went, impatient viewers admitted they couldn't concentrate on the cooking segment as they thought Eamonn was going to make a big announcement about retiring or moving to another show.
After the regional weather report he admitted he had some good news about his family.
He told viewers: "There's something I want to talk to you about today -its been tough for a lot of people."

Eamonn also said he didn't want his grandchild called after him. He said: "Please no obligation to call the child Eamonn or Eaomonda. I don't know if its a boy or girl... and thankyou for bringing so much joy and happiness in our lives at this miserable time step."
