Eamonn Holmes makes awkward dig at Piers Morgan's GMB rants

Eamonn Holmes took aim at Piers Morgan, mocking him over his incessant photographing of his food now that he was no longer on Good Morning Britain.

Piers, 55, and co-star Susanna Reid, 49, have taken a break from GMB for the summer after a long few months of working throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

Father-of-four Piers instantly jetted out of the UK to the Provence to indulge in the French food and carefree lifestyle.

Following constant rows with various government officials, including Health Secretary Matt Hancock, Piers is making the most of his time to chill out in the sunshine.

So Eamonn couldn't help having a dig at Piers on This Morning today as he admitted that he was keeping up to date with the controversial presenter's Instagram posts.

Eamonn and wife Ruth had welcomed chef Angela Hartnett onto the show to serve up a bowl of delicious pasta.

After tucking into it, Eamonn asked: "Does anyone follow Piers Morgan on Instagram? Because that man has seven meals a day!

"He's constantly photographing what he's eating! Which is all very nice... it's very good.

"Now that he can't talk politics and he's on his holidays, he just photographs food."

Earlier this week, Piers revealed that he had torn a tendon just two days into his six-week holiday.

He wrote: "Peg-leg. (nothing like tearing a tendon on Day 2 of a 6-week holiday)."

But pal Kevin Pietersen didn't appear too sympathetic, remarking: "Man up."

*This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV
