Eamonn Holmes joins TikTok for some "great craic" with fans

Eamonn Holmes has created a TikTok account in a bid to get "even closer" to his fans.

The Belfast native has taken on a social media "agony uncle" role in recent months through his Twitter account, where he answers questions submitted by those aspiring towards a career in the media.

But now, the popular broadcaster has taken this journey one step further, by signing up to TikTok, a site which he says he's hoping to have some "great craic" on.

Taking to his Twitter on Tuesday afternoon, the 61-year-old posted a video to announce his foray into the new platform.

He said: "Lovely to see you. Now we're going to get even closer because I have joined TikTok.

"I'm not sure what TikTok is...but apparently we're gonna have some great craic on it."

Eamonn added if TikTok users included the #AskEamonn hashtag in their posts he will do his best "within realms" to answer the questions put forward to him.

Finishing the video, he added: "Let's have some fun. Let's be interesting. Let's not be abusive. Let's do it!

"On TokTik...TikTik...Tiky Tok...Tiky Tok...TokTic...You know...#AskEamonn", the presenter joked.

Eamonn is currently presenting This Morning during the summer holidays with his wife and co-presenter Ruth Langsford as Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield take a break.
