Eamonn Holmes 'hasn't slept' due to severe pain but has come up with solution

Eamonn Holmes admitted he hadn't slept due to severe pain as he came up with a solution to help him sleep tonight.

The This Morning star, who has been suffering from debilitating back pain, told followers online that he'd had a terrible time of things yesterday.

In a video update he'd said: "I’m here laid up at home on the couch with my three discs out on my back.

"I thought I was turning a corner yesterday, I thought I was getting better but I don’t feel good today. Today has really not been a good day.

"As a matter of fact, things all around aren’t good."

However, today Eamonn was in a perkier mood after being suggested different techniques to help with some of the insomnia he'd also been experiencing.

This morning he'd told his fans: "Good News ...... just remembered that Bananas can help you sleep. Bad News ...... Pity it's taken me to 5 am to remember it !"

Eamonn was a man with a plan after his followers came up with some other ideas to help soothe his head.

After one fan called Nikki suggested: '"Warm milk and a banana on the side a winner." Eamonn replied: "That's tonight's menu sorted Nikki."

Other suggested a sleep counselling session in a virtual 'therapy tent', watching a virtual night sky on his ceiling.

Another said: "Any foods containing tryptophan help - turkey, bananas, milk, oats, eggs, nuts etc."

Still more suggested, dark chocolate, lettuce, and sleep tea, or sleep masks and a weighted blanket.

Someone else offered: "I always used to have a banana about 2 hours before bed & now I have a double camomile. They have tryptophan, magnesium, B6, potassium.

"Slightly unripe are better, less sugar more resistant starch. Also did you know Kiwi fruit has serotonin & good for sleep & respiratory issues?"

Still more suggested 'no caffeine', and others asked if he'd tried a 'tens machine' for his back pain, while some suggested: "Lavender oil on my pillow and a lavender temple balm have to rub on on my temples ( obvs) have helped me , and I was convinced it would have no effect !! I was wrong and it works wonders !"

Another advised: "CBD oil 1000 strength works brilliant for my hubby 4drops under your tongue morning and last thing at night he’s like a new man, so glad we tried it."

And another opted for a very severe solution joking: "A mallet to the back of the head helps me to sleep when I'm having trouble."
