Eamonn Holmes hails Enniskillen physio for putting a smile back on his face

A Co Fermanagh man has helped to put a smile back on Eamonn Holmes face.

Eamonn, who has been open about his battle with chronic back pain, met a physiotherapist while working in Enniskillen last week.

Appearing in Belfast on Friday to visit the People's Kitchen, the TV favourite arrived using the aid of a walking stick, revealing he has "very little power" in his right leg.

Speaking at Farset International, the 61-year-old said he hopes for some continuity of treatment in the summer.

He said: "I have two dislocated discs and have very little power in my right leg but I was working in Enniskillen last week and I came across an amazing physio and he has done fantastic work for me. He's put a smile on my face.

"Unfortunately a lot of my life is spent going back and forward and being on planes and not being able to settle here or in England. If I get a bit of continuity and a bit of treatment and I am looking forward when I work for This Morning during the summer for seven weeks then I might be able to have a regular slot in the afternoon to get treatment. I think recovery will be quicker as result of that."
