Eamonn Holmes gives health update as he says 'comeback starts here'

Eamonn Holmes has been very open with fans in recent weeks about his chronic pain battle and now it appears the Belfast man is finally getting some much needed relief.

The popular broadcaster has been battling chronic pain which he revealed last week was being caused by a dislocated pelvis.

The 61-year-old has even visited hospital in a bid to end his pain nightmare which has left him struggling to sleep.

And late last night after another visit from his physiotherapist, Eamonn updated his followers and said he 'feels good' for the first time in five weeks'.

He tweeted: "My Physio has just left , and u know what ? For the first time in 5 weeks I feel good ! Can't believe I'm saying that but steroid injections from last week must be kicking in too. The comeback starts here........ I hope."

Opening up about discovering the cause of the pain, Eamonn told  The Irish Independent : "I mysteriously dislocated my pelvis and I don't know how — it's not as erotic as it sounds.

"My back is now out of alignment as a result."

He added: "Nobody knows what it's like unless they live with someone who has it.

"I'm in huge pain and nobody knows how to stop it.

"This hurts like hell and I need to find a way to overcome it. It has lasted a month and it feels like I can't remember what life was like without the pain."
