Eamonn Holmes' emotional message as he recalls day his life 'changed beyond recognition'

Eamonn Holmes has been flooded with support from friends and fans after he shared an emotional post on Instagram.

The North Belfast man's mum Josie died in November 22, aged 93.

The TV presenter has also been experiencing health issues over recent years, sharing a photo earlier this month "learning to walk with purpose" while using a harness during a physio session.

Posting an image on social media on Tuesday, Eamonn said: "A couple of my bothers, me and mum a year ago.

"Life ended for her and changed beyond recognition for me in a bad way. None of us know what's around the corner. Live life well."

One user replied: "Beautiful photo, and such beautiful words, Eamonn. So true. We must seize every moment and make it count, and consider each moment we spend with each other to perhaps be our last..."

Another added: "Thinking of you & your family & sending love and pray that your mobility improves ."

American journalist Kinsey Schofield said: "There are miracles around every corner. I hope things look up for you, friend. You are loved!"

Another Instagram user said: "Memories are precious."
