Eamonn Holmes has been showing off his brand-new car on his Instagram story.
It’s after Homes Under The Hammer presenter, Lucy Alexander, shared a video where she hailed a “Holmes taxi” after a boozy lunch with Ruth Langsford.
She explained that Eamonn would often give her a lift home after she’d been out with his wife and This Morning co-presenter.
Lucy and Ruth had been to a breast cancer awareness lunch at the Corinthia Hotel in London.
It comes after the Belfast man was able to make his car dream a reality by designing his dream car, a Bentley convertible.
Six years ago, Eamonn and Ruth appeared in Channel 5’s How The Other Half Lives and Ruth said: “If we ever won the lottery, I would dread what he would come home with. Eamonn would love a Bentley.”
Unable to hide his delight at picking up his new motor Eamonn joked: “I knew I would get my own way in the end.”
Lucy Alexander shared her day out and journey home on Instagram to her 49,200 followers.
Going into more detail about her sunny journey home in Eamonn’s convertible, she spoke directly to the camera in a clip posted to her story.
She said: “What happens at the end of a really good night with Ruth is that you get what’s called a Holmes taxi," she said.
Lucy then spun the camera around to show Eamonn in the driver’s seat giving her a lift home.
“Taxi for Alexander,” he quipped.
