Eamonn Holmes dad dances to ABBA on same day band announce exciting project

Eamonn Holmes had fans reeling after revealing his dance moves on This Morning.

On Thursday morning's episode, the Belfast-born presenter joked he used to hate watching the people dancing in the audience of Top of the Pops.

He said: "It didn't matter what the song was, that was just the way that they danced."

Eamonn then demonstrated this theory by showing off his dad dancing to Abba's Waterloo, on the same day the band happened to announce an exciting new project.

The Swedish group launched a new website on Thursday morning titled Abba Voyage, asking fans to register interest in a new project.

It's expected to be a "hologram tour" that Abba initially announced in 2016, and the band are expected to release five new songs to accompany it.

But Eamonn's dance moves to their classic track had fans in hysterics, with some saying he reminded them of a puppet.

Taking to social media, one fan said: "Eamon looking a bit like a puppet on a string with that dance."

While another added: "So Eamonn is a thunderbirds puppet now?"

Another said that "he's got the moves."

Eamonn and Ruth are completing the final week of their stint presenting the popular ITV daytime show.

Guest hosts Alison Hammond, Vernon Kay and Rochelle Humes will takeover next week, before Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield return on September 6.
