Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford leave their teenage son mortified after making sex jokes live on air

This Morning presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford left their teenage son squirming with embarrassment - by making sex jokes live on air.

The husband and wife duo are presenting the show while Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield enjoy a summer holiday.

But they left their son Jack Holmes red-faced as he settled into the green room on the ITV1 daytime favourite yesterday, the Manchester Evening News reports.

Eamonn and Ruth welcomed new chef Ovie Soko, the Love Island star, to the show on Thursday.

And 59-year-old Eamonn was told by pro basketball player Ovie he was making "cheeky toast".

Ruth, also 59, questioned her husband on why she never got any "cheeky toast" of a morning. Eamonn replied: "I'm looking for that before you say I want my breakfast."

The three descended into fits of laughter, with the Irish presenter adding: "Like clockwork my wife is in the morning. I say 'any chance of some cheeky toast?' She goes 'no I'm starving I want my breakfast'."

Ruth chipped in: "Can I just say our 17-year-old son is here. Have you forgotten?"

The camera then panned to young Jack sat across the studio alongside Ovie's mum who has joined the islander for an interview on the programme.

"Look at him, he's mortified," Ruth continued. "Oh Jack, sorry darling."

"One day son you’ll know the meaning of a bit of cheeky toast," Eamonn cheekily added.
