Eamonn Holmes admits 'today has not been a good day' as he lays on couch in pain

Eamonn Holmes opened up about having a bad day after having to stay “laid up” on the couch in pain.

The This Morning star, 61, has been battling chronic pain on his back and previously had to go to the hospital because of it.

In a clip posted to his Twitter account yesterday, the presenter told his one million followers: "Morning everyone. I’m here laid up at home on the couch with my three discs out on my back.

"I thought I was turning a corner yesterday, I thought I was getting better but I don’t feel good today. Today has really not been a good day.

"As a matter of fact, things all around aren’t good."

Many fans took to the post to suggest ways to ease the pain, while some simply sent their well wishes.

His video comes after he said the steroid injections he received last week was “kicking in” as he finally felt good.

Eamonn tweeted late on Monday: "My Physio has just left, and u know what ? For the first time in 5 weeks I feel good!

"Can't believe I'm saying that but steroid injections from last week must be kicking in too. The comeback starts here ....... I hope."

The presenter revealed that the agonising pain was caused after he “mysteriously” dislocated his pelvis.

Along with physiotherapy, he also has been having ice-cold showers to ease the pain.

He also admitted he uses a circulation booster every day to try to keep the pain under control.

He said he uses the kit for 20 minutes a day and it sends electric pulses to ease blood flow.

He explained that the device had helped him get back out on the golf course and allowed him to walk his dog once again.
