Eagles’ WR DeSean Jackson expected to miss 4-6 weeks after having surgery on core muscle

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson is expected to miss an extended amount of time after he undergoes surgery to repair an abdominal injury. John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia reported the news on Monday after Jackson suffered the injury against the Bears on Sunday.

It’s a move that’s certain to come with extreme criticism after Jackson left the Eagles’ Week 2 loss in Atlanta with an abdominal injury, later diagnosed as an abdominal strain.

Many around the Eagles suggested that Jackson have sports hernia surgery, but that idea was put off in place of an intense rehabilitation program.
