Eagles’ WR Alshon Jeffery avoids the PUP List, will start the 2020 season on the active roster

In a move that should please Eagles fans and quarterback Carson Wentz, star wide receiver Alshon Jeffery looks to be healthy and prepared for the season after he landed on the active roster.

It was thought that Jeffery would start the season on the reserve/PUP list with a lisfranc injury, but months after having foot surgery, Jeffery looks to provide Carson Wentz and the Eagles with a dynamic weapon.

Had the Eagles placed Jeffery on the PUP list, he would have counted against the 53-man roster and would have missed at least the first six games of the season.

There has been a lot of speculation about his future with reports that the Eagles have been trying to trade him and his $9.9 million guaranteed salary in 2020.
