Eagles were involved in two of the Top-5 most-watched sporting events of 2019

The demise of the NFL is far-fetched and based off early rankings of viewership for the first half of 2019, the National Football League will likely be the rating king for years to come. Sports Media Watch has the data, and via ratings and numbers crunching, the NFL has already generated the ten most-watched sporting events this year, starring the Patriots win over the Rams in Super Bowl 53. Even while generating the lowest rating since 2003, the Super Bowl still generated 98 million viewers on television alone.

The Philadelphia Eagles are a hot product right now and based off of the ratings, the Birds playoff win against the Chicago Bears and their divisional-round loss to the New Orleans Saints were two of the top-5 watch sporting events so far this year.

Add into the fact that the Eagles Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots was the most-watched sporting event of 2018, and Philadelphia has been a media darling for over two years now.
