Eagles Week 3 injury designations: Jackson OUT, Jeffrey and Goedert Questionable

The Detroit Lions Week 3 opponent, the Philadelphia Eagles, have declared their injury designations for this Sunday’s game and they are missing several players at key positions.

Ruled OUT

Earlier today, coach Doug Pederson ruled starting wide receiver DeSean Jackson (abdomen) OUT, which has now been confirmed on their official report.

The Eagles also ruled OUT starting defensive tackle Tim Jernigan (foot) — he replaced Malik Jackson in the starting lineup after he was placed on injured reserve — starting kick returner Corey Clement (shoulder) and reserve offensive tackle Jordan Mailata (back).

Doubtful

Reserve linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill (knee) is listed as doubtful — he didn’t play last week.

Questionable

The Eagles other starting wide receiver, Alshon Jeffery (calf) is listed as questionable, but after not participating in a single practice this week, he appears unlikely to play — and if he does play, he will surely be very limited.

Dallas Goedert (calf) is in the same boat as Jeffery, the only difference is, he returned to practice today for warmups but didn’t participate in any drills. His absence would be a blow to the Eagles run game.

Nate Sudfeld (left wrist) practiced in full this week, but as the third option at quarterback, he is still unlikely to be active on gameday.

Not listed with an injury designation

Despite being limited in practice during portions of the week starting defensive lineman Derek Barnett (shoulder) and Fletcher Cox (toe) are good to go on Sunday. Additionally, Johnathan Cyprien (knee), Rudy Ford (hamstring) and Nathan Gerry (knee, calf) also will be available.
