Eagles’ Week 12 matchup vs. Seahawks named a make-or-break game

The NFL is the one league that consistently produces parity on all levels, with only the Patriots laying claim to divisional dominance over the past decade. Each season provides that one game that goes a long way towards determining a team’s playoff future or early offseason plans.

CBS Sports broke down the one make-or-break game for all 32 NFL teams, determining which matchup will speak volumes for each team’s playoff hopts. The Philadelphia Eagles have one of the NFL’s easiest schedules, with the most difficult portion of the schedule coming near the end of the season.

The Birds’ Week 12 matchup at home against the Seattle Seahawks has been deemed a make-or-break contest by CBS Sports.

Eagles: Week 12 vs. Seahawks. Starting in Week 10, the Eagles have a back-breaking three-game stretch that will include games against the Bears, Patriots, and Seahawks. With Carson Wentz’s previous injury issues, the Eagles should be able to breathe a sigh of relief if he can make it out of this stretch unscathed.

That will indeed be a rough stretch and could go a long way toward determining playoff seedings and home-field advantage for both the AFC and NFC. If Philadelphia can survive the November from hell, it’ll start December and finish off the season with contests against the Dolphins, Giants, Redskins, Cowboys, and Giants again. Those are all winnable games and could see the Eagles enter the playoffs on a five-game win streak.
