Eagles waive TE Alex Ellis off of reserve/injured with an injury settlement

The Philadelphia Eagles have parted ways with Alex Ellis, waiving the tight end off of the reserve/injured list with an injury settlement.

Ellis was signed by the Eagles during training camp and played in the season opener against the Redskins, primarily on special teams. He was waived prior to the Week 2 game in Atlanta so the Eagles could add Craig James to the secondary.
