Eagles trio left out of ranking of NFL’s top defensive triplets

The Philadelphia Eagles have some big named defenders on their defensive unit, with an All-Pro and a couple of pro bowlers scattered among the group. NFL.com recently revealed a list of the NFL’s top offensive triplets, and the Eagles trio of Carson Wentz, Jordan Howard, and Zach Ertz landed strangely in the middle of the pack of the rankings.

Bucky Brooks is handling the rankings of defensive triplets, and the Eagles trio of Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham, and Malcolm Jenkins did not make the cut, landing on the honorable mentions list.

In Brooks top five, he had the LA Chargers trio of DE Joey Bosa, DE Melvin Ingram, and S Derwin James as his top triplets. At No. 2, the Dallas Cowboys trio of DE DeMarcus Lawrence, LB Jaylon Smith, and LB Leighton Vander Esch. Coming at third on the list was the Chicago Bears trio of DL Akiem Hicks, LB Khalil Mack and S Eddie Jackson At No. 4 on the list, were the LA Rams trio of DT Aaron Donald, LB Dante Fowler Jr., and CB Marcus Peters or S Eric Weddle. And finally, rounding out the top-five on the list was the Denver Broncos trio of LB Von Miller, LB Bradley Chubb, and CB Chris Harris Jr.
